The official peak horsepower rating for the 1200 was 125 horsepower with 95 pound-feet of torque. The 1250 is rated at 136 horsepower and 105 pound-feet. BMW made a number of other changes to the GS, but very few of them concern the basic design elements of the bike. The clutch and gearbox are unchanged, as is the frame.

You ring it to redline and the real pull died about 2k rpm back, you keep rpm's ~3.5-4.2 and it will feel pretty sluggish if you open it. Open it at 4.6-5.5 rolling and itll rip your arms off. Shift at around 7.5k rpm while rolling on to get the best feel. BANSH33-1215 • 4 mo. ago.
