Hi. Its usually ok to disconnect the battery. as long as ignition is off, usually no problems. if there were a lot of errors, only thing I can think off, was battery was disconnected with the ignition on, causes every module to go into error/fault. glad you got it sorted and hope it was not too expensive to sort.
